Booking Terms and Conditions

DISCLAIMER

While our retreats focus on helping you through times that may be challenging, there are will be times that we are not able to provide the level of assistance or support you may need, including for those with untreated addiction, physical disability or untreated/unstable mental health conditions. At those times, we recommend you seek advice from a trained medical or mental health professional about whether our retreats are suitable for you at this time. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for wheelchairs at the resort. 

Travel to and from the retreat

You are responsible for all flights, transfers and transport to and from the retreat site. Airport transfers are available for an additional $180 AUD one way and need to be booked with me prior to your arrival. Please feel free to contact me for other alternatives if you prefer, as there are trains and buses that run from Colombo to Tangalle/ Beliata that are much more cost efficient, and I can provide some information on these for you.

  • All bookings are subject to availability.

  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

Payments and cancellations

ALL PRICES ARE IN $AUD

Where prices are listed in Euros or US Dollars, they are provided for your reference only. They are accurate at the time of publication, but exchange rates fluctuate. The rate applicable on the day of your payment will apply, so please check the current rate when making your purchase.

Payment Policy
  • Early bird: Your full deposit must be received before the end of the early bird period. Early bird finishes midnight 8 March 2026.

  • Remaining balances for early bird and regular registrations to be paid 1 month before the retreat start date. We reserve the right to forfeit your place if payment is not received on time. 

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

  • Payment plans are available, please ask. 

Your place is secured with a 20% non refundable deposit, which will be retained if you cancel your retreat with us. Full payment is required 1 month before the retreat start date. Failure to pay by this time will result in you forfeiting your place and deposit. 

If you would like to organise a payment plan, please contact me directly after securing your place with your deposit. 

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • ​Cancellation 8 to 28 days from arrival: 20% of the full payment (your deposit) is retained, and 50% of the remaining payment (full retreat cost minus the deposit) will be returned.

  • Cancellations made between 7 days and the day of arrival will forfeit the full amount of the retreat.

  • PLEASE NOTE: No rescheduling will be available.

If you are on a payment plan, each payment must be made by the due date for that payment or we reserve the right to forfeit your place, subject to the cancellation terms above. 

Payment for any additional items purchased during your stay must be finalised before departure, or it will be deducted from your credit card. Credit card details are required as surety prior to arrival. Failure to produce will lead to the cancellation of your stay.

 

 

Bohemian Bliss surf and yoga retreat accommodation and inclusions
Accommodation​

We will stay at Into The Blue - Surf, Yoga, Surf https://www.intothebluesrilanka.com/, a private resort landside in Unakururwa. The resort is equipped with several room types as described in the brochure. 

To preserve comfort and privacy, all rooms are sold as rooms rather than shared spaces. Double rooms are intended for partners or friends booking together, and will otherwise be offered as single occupancy.

Rooms are equipped with fans for natural cooling; air conditioning is not provided.

Inclusions
  • 5 nights accommodation in the room you select

  • 5 x brunches and 2 x dinners (please advise us of any dietary needs)

  • Daily yoga as indicated in the schedule

  • 3 x Sound baths or Guided meditations

  • 1 x Sunset kayak

  • 1 x Udawelewe National Park ½ day safari

  • 1 x Mulkirigala Temple visit

  • 3 x 1:1 coaching sessions (1 before, 1 during and 1 after the retreat)

  • 2 x group sessions for intention setting during the retreat

  • Time to explore and experience the south

At times we will be able to offer activities on an ad hoc basis; these are all voluntary and at additional cost to you. They could include, but are not limited to, surfing lessons, surf board hire or snorkelling, temple visits, classes from visiting specialists etc. 

In case of illness or accident

We want to ensure that you have a wonderful, but safe experience with us at The Barefoot Salt Gypsy retreats. If you are unsure about whether to travel or if you do feel unwell, we ask you to consult with your health professional or state health department. If travel restrictions occur during your stay, you take responsibility for your ongoing travel arrangements and/or any testing or quarantine deemed necessary by the area or state you reside in or are travelling to.

You are responsible for carrying your own medication, as per your health professional’s instructions. This includes items such as EpiPens, asthma inhalers and the like as well as prescribed medication. In case of emergency, you consent to be transported to the nearest hospital, which is located in Tangalle. Any medical costs and/or associated ongoing costs will be at your expense.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any ongoing illness that may require treatment, and any dietary requirements prior to attending the retreat. The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation if a condition poses a risk to the individual or others.

Drugs and alcohol

The Barefoot Salt Gypsy offers drug and alcohol-free retreat experiences. Guests adversely affected by drugs or alcohol during their stay will be asked to leave and have the remainder of their retreat cancelled. There will be no refunds provided.

Liability waiver

We will do our best to ensure your safety while participating in this series of retreats, however,  by choosing to participate, you acknowledge and accept that physical activity, meditation and breathwork practices carry inherent risks. You agree to listen to your body, move within your own range of ability, and immediately cease any activity that causes pain, discomfort, dizziness, or shortness of breath. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the instructor nor any affiliated party shall be held liable for any injury, loss, or damages arising directly or indirectly from your participation. Participation is strictly voluntary and at your own risk.

The Barefoot Salt Gypsy (1770 & Agnes Water Custom Retreats ABN: 30 668 115 716), Into The Blue Pvt Ltd and their representatives as well as retreat facilitators are not liable for:

  • Personal injury, accidents, or illness during the retreat.

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings.

  • Unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, travel disruptions).

Participants assume full responsibility for their well-being and property.

We strongly encourage you to take out personal travel insurance to safeguard against any unforeseen circumstances. 

Code of conduct
  • Respectful behavior toward fellow participants, staff, and the environment is mandatory.

  • Disruptive conduct (e.g., harassment, property damage) may result in immediate removal without refund.

  • In this retreat we welcome people of all genders.  

​Retreat modifications or cancellations by organiser

In rare cases (e.g., extreme weather, political or social unrest, etc), the organiser may:

  • Reschedule the retreat (with option for a full refund if new dates are unsuitable).

  • Cancel the retreat with a full refund for the retreat or portion paid by you for the retreat (excluding external costs like flights).

​Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the country we are retreating in. Any disputes will be resolved under its jurisdiction.​

Gift purchases

If you would like to give the gift of one of our retreats, this is a beautiful idea, however you are subject to the same terms and conditions as if you were buying the retreat for yourself. Responsibility for payment of the full retreat rests with you, and The Barefoot Salt Gypsy accepts no liability for non payment of any remaining costs for the retreat or any additional purchases during the retreat. Gift bookings are subject to the same payment and cancellation terms described above.

Agreement

By completing a booking, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

  • Acknowledge the cancellation policy..

  • Accept responsibility for your health, safety, and belongings.
